Available Processes
What fabrication processes are available through the MEMS and Nanotechnology Exchange?

Most of the processes we offer are listed in the Process Catalog.

An alternative way to search our catalog is to create a new process run, and then add a new process step (select the "[Add step]" link on the left-hand side of the page). You need to have a MEMS and Nanotechnology Exchange user ID to create a process run.

What if I can't find the process I'm looking for?

If a process that you need is not listed in our catalog, you can select an "uncharacterized process" from the process catalog or process search results. We will try to find a fab site in our network that can perform the process, and we will obtain a price estimate for you.

How can I obtain more information about a particular process?

If you are not able to find enough details through the Process Catalog, please send us e-mail and a MEMS and Nanotechnology Exchange engineer will respond to your inquiry.

How can I obtain a price list?

The cost of each process depends on a number of factors -- fab site selected, amount/complexity of work done, number and size of wafers, etc. -- so it's not possible to assign a simple price to every process we offer.

To get a range of estimated costs for a particular process, consult the "Estimated pricing" graph in the catalog page for that process. To get a more precise cost estimate, you'll have to add the process to a process run.

Will the MEMS and Nanotechnology Exchange assist me in designing a process?

The MEMS and Nanotechnology Exchange offers professional consulting services for designing processes.
